Kimaya is a high end clothing brand based in Dubai and made in Morocco. Lila, owner and founder at Kimaya had the brilliant and creative idea to merge traditional clothing from two cultures she is passionate about, the Japanese Kimono and the Middle Eastern Abaya. Both cultures have an immense appreciation for lose clothing and a sensitivity for the finest fabrics. Lila cherishes the same values and chooses only the best quality for the creation of her clothes.

The work around Kimaya’s design consisted on creating a brand and visual identity such as a logo, photography, color palette, etc. but also to tell a story. The story of the fusion of two cultures. Through its distinguished clothing line, Kimaya share a unique sight in the fashion landscape. The branding is focused around simplicity and minimalism. The clothes are rich in beautiful patterns and details. This contrast is an ode to the Japanese and Middle Eastern cultures.
The story
What Kimaya stand for is encompassed in three keywords : Timeless, Bold and Elegant. Three words that captures the brand’s philosophy are used into the micro social media campaign through Instagram stories but also a video production for a “reel” format. We made 3D animations to be integrated in the different elements of the design, uplifting the visual identity as a whole.
